German-Texan Heritage Society Scholarships
for Winning
Research Papers at State
For the
third year in a row, the winners of first through fifth place
in the research paper contest at the 2010 Texas State German Contest received scholarships from the German-Texan
Heritage Society (GTHS). The author of the first-place paper received
$1000, second and third place received $500 each, and fourth and fifth place
received $250 each.
Important stipulation: The teachers of the winning students must be members of GTHS as of the
day of the State contest in order for their students to claim the scholarships.
If a student places in the top five and his/her teacher is not a GTHS member,
the scholarship will go to the next student in line.
Read more about this exciting program on
the
German-Texan Heritage Society Scholarships page of the State website.
Visit the
GTHS website for more
information about the benefits of membership or to join. You can download
a membership application there by clicking on the "Join" button. |
